Every Friday I will be picking 5 winners from the comments (across the blog and FB) to receive a small Flat Rate box full of sniffy bottles! This week's bottles are BPAL/TP. This year's 'theme' is a reading challenge!

I firmly believe that your local library is your community's greatest resource. For quite a few years now I really haven't been making as much time to read as I should. So, in setting up my annual planning/journalling I made sure to hunt up a reading challenge that was both interesting and realistic for me.

For a chance to win comment below with your picks for the first quarter of the year!

January - A Book That Has Been On Your To Be Read List For A Year (The Angel of Darkness, Caleb Carr)

February - A Short Story Collection (The Bloody Chamber & Other Stories, Angela Carter)

March - Historical Novel (Alias Grace, Margaret Atwood)

  • I’m aiming to finish the wheel of time series, on book six of thirteen so far! It’s my second time round and I’m enjoying it more this time. I think it’s less of a slog because I don’t have to concentrate as much to keep all the characters in order in my mind – they feel more like friends now!

  • I don’t have a lot of time to read, either. I have stared listening to audiobookswhile I’m at work, so I count that as “reading”.

I plan to finish “A Darker Shade of Magic” by V.E. Schwab this week, then plan to move on to try to finish “It”. It’s such a long book I have to take breaks in listening to it, and I think I still have something like 11 hours left and I have been listening to it off and on for months now!
If I don’t pick “it” back up, I’ll ptobably listen to the full cast recording of “American Gods” by Neil Gaiman again in preparation for the Starz series coming back in March. It’s truly my favorite version of an audiobook, and recommend it whole heartedly if you’re looking for a good one to try!
